FSU DT Nnadi Goes in Third Round to Kansas City Chiefs

The anchor of the interior of Florida State’s defensive line over the last few seasons has a new home.

Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 75th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft on Friday night. Nnadi is a third-round selection and the second Seminole to be taken.

Nnadi was a 4-year contributor over the course of his FSU career and a 3-year starter. Nnadi appeared in 48 career games and made 37 career starts.

During his career, Nnadi recorded 88 tackles, including 24 for loss and 11.5 sacks. As a senior in 2017, Nnadi finished with a career-high 53 tackles and 10 for loss. Nnadi is the first FSU defensive tackle selected since Eddie Goldman in 2014.
