A monster week from Florida State senior outfielder Steven Wells did not go unnoticed.

The Key West native was named ACC Player of the Week while being among the National Players of the Week, according to Collegiate Baseball. Wells had a week to remember as the Seminoles went a perfect 5-0 against Stetson and Boston College.

Over the five games, Wells went 14-for-17, which included a stretch where he had hits in 12 straight at-bats. Wells hit .824 this week with two home runs, two doubles and seven RBIs. Wells also scored 11 runs, drew six walks and reached base 22 times.

After hitting below .200 entering the week, Wells has watched his average rise to .298, which ranks behind only Drew Mendoza for the team lead. Wells’ .490 on-base percentage leads the team and ranks second in the ACC.

Wells and the Seminoles will play four games this week, beginning on Tuesday with a road contest at Stetson. FSU closes the week with a 3-game home set against ACC rival Miami.
