Despite a lackluster week, Florida State has returned to the top 5 of the Baseball America Poll.

After going 2-2, the Seminoles climbed to No. 5 this week in the poll. FSU had previously dropped three spots from third to No. 6.

FSU fell to rival Florida in Gainesville last week, 12-6, and dropped the opener of a 3-game series with Notre Dame on Friday. The Seminoles did finish the weekend strong with 6-4 and 7-5 wins over the Fighting Irish.

In the D1Baseball.com Poll, FSU wasn’t so lucky. The Seminoles, who are 16-4 this season, held firm at No. 7. The biggest plunge for Florida State came in the Collegiate Poll as it fell five spots from seventh to No. 12.

The one poll where FSU did not move was the NCBWA Poll. The Seminoles held firm at No. 6.

FSU will host No. 20 UCF in a 2-game series, beginning on Tuesday this week. It will wrap up the week with a 3-game series at North Carolina, which starts on Friday.
