It’s Friday, Florida State fans. As your day chugs along and the weekend approaches, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Reports broke Wednesday that Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois was involved in a domestic violence incident Tuesday evening with pregnant ex-girlfriend Diamond Lindsey. Francois, who made the call, told the Tallahassee Police Department that Lindsey was destroying his property and that she threatened to claim domestic violence.

Francois’ account for the most part was corroborated by friend and FSU running back Zaquandre White, who was present at the time. According to the 911 call obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, Francois’ account to police seems to be substantiated.

During the call, Francois tells the dispatcher she’s destroying his property and that he just wanted “her removed”. Lindsey told police that she was picked up and slammed down by Francois during an altercation. The two players told police that Francois only touched her in self defense and in an effort to prevent her from further destroying his property. No charges were filed and the case was listed as inactive.
