Loss at Cameron Doesn’t Bounce FSU from AP Poll

Despite a winless week, a valiant effort on Saturday afternoon at one of college basketball’s grandest venues will keep Florida State in the top 25.

FSU remained 24th in this week’s AP Poll. The Seminoles fell at Duke over the weekend, 100-93, as the Blue Devils closed the game on a 9-0 run to squeak out the win.

Duke climbed two spots to No. 2 in the AP Poll this week, following the victory.

Florida State was unable to remain ranked in the USA Today Coaches Poll after sitting at No. 25 last week. The Seminoles however, were the top vote-getter among unranked teams.

At 11-2 and 0-1 in ACC, things won’t get much easier this coming week for Florida State. The Seminoles will host North Carolina on Wednesday before visiting Miami next Sunday. The Tar Heels were No. 12 in this week’s AP Poll while the Hurricanes are 15th.
