With the start of the 2018 college baseball season less than two months away, a pair of Florida State players earned preseason All-American honors by Collegiate Baseball.

Junior pitcher Tyler Holton was named a first-team selection. Holton went 10-3 last year with a 2.34 ERA. Holton struck out 144 batters in more than 119 innings.

Holton was selected by the Miami Marlins late in the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft, but returned to school. Holton was a second-team All-American, according to Collegiate Baseball last year.

Junior catcher Cal Raleigh was named a preseason second-team All-American. After an outstanding freshman season in 2016, Raleigh hit just .227 with nine home runs and 39 RBIs last season.

Clemson’s Seth Beer was named preseason Player of the Year. Click here to view the entire All-American team.

Holton and Raleigh will try to help FSU return to Omaha. The Seminoles open the season against Xavier on Feb. 16.
