For the second year in a row, Florida State center Alec Eberle has been named to the Wuerffel Trophy watch list.

The award named after former Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel recognizes community service as well as academic and athletic achievement. Eberle has been heavily involved with FSU’s “Lift for Life” program, which is a Kidz1stFund event that helps raise money to fight Fanconi anemia.

Eberle, a redshirt junior, has started 19 straight games for Florida State at center and is expected to compete for that role again this year. Eberle hopes to be the first FSU player to win the award which has been given every year since 2005 by the All Sports Association of Fort Walton Beach.

Eberle was previously named to the Rimington and Outland Trophy watch lists.
