With college baseball’s regular season and conference tournaments over, All-American teams are starting to roll in. Collegiate Baseball unveiled its team on Thursday and Florida State was represented.

Sophomore pitcher Tyler Holton was named to the publication’s second team after an outstanding season. Holton, who has recently doubled as the team’s right fielder, has been the unquestioned ace of the FSU staff this season.

For the year, Holton has a record of 9-2 to go with a 2.43 ERA. Holton also struck out 119 batters in 96 1/3 innings. His .166 opponents’ batting average leads the ACC.

Earlier this season, Holton tied an ACC record by being named the conference’s Pitcher of the Week five times. Holton is expected to get the ball for FSU in the Seminoles’ second game of the Tallahassee Regional on Saturday.
