More than half of Florida State’s current 2019 recruiting class now hails from the same high school.

On Tuesday, the fourth Grayson High School product pledged his commitment to the Seminoles. Ronald Thompkins, a 6-0, 180-pound athlete from the Loganville, Georgia powerhouse announced his commitment.

Thompkins is a 4-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite rankings and the No. 20 athlete for 2019. Thompkins had offers from Auburn, Georgia, Florida and LSU among others in addition to the Seminoles. Thompkins joins teammates Kenyatta Watson, a defensive back, tackle Wanya Morris and defensive tackle Tru Thompson as members of FSU’s 2019 class.

Thompkins is the seventh commitment for 2019. That class entered the day ranked second, according to the Composite, but is now No. 1.
