To say things aren’t going well for Florida State at this point might be an understatement. The Seminoles are 18-11, but have lost four straight.

After falling to Florida last Tuesday 4-1, FSU was swept over the weekend by North Carolina. The final two losses during the 3-game set were absolute heartbreakers.

On Saturday night, FSU was one out away from a combined no-hitter, but an RBI single forced extra innings before the Tar Heels won in 11. On Sunday, the Seminoles let a 4-run lead slip away in a 9-7 defeat.

Fortunately for Florida State, it will still have a number by its name this week. In the Baseball America Poll, the Seminoles dove 12 spots to No. 24. In the D1Baseball.com Poll, that dip was 10 spots from 12th to No. 22.

In the Collegiate Baseball Poll, which ranks 30 teams, Florida State was no so lucky. The Seminoles fell from 12th to completely out of the poll.

FSU fell 10 spots in the NCBWA Poll from 10th to No. 20. It was the Seminoles’ highest ranking in any poll.
