Florida State bounced back from a disappointing loss at Pittsburgh last weekend to throttle Boston College on Monday. Coupling a bad loss with a blowout win has “bracketologists” in the most disagreement about where the Seminoles currently sit in the NCAA Tournament in months.

The highest that any expert has FSU seeded is as a No. 2. That projection comes from USA Today’s Shelby Mast and Steve Gleeson in a bracket updated on Friday. USA Today has the Seminoles in Orlando facing No. 15 seed and projected Atlantic Sun champion Florida Gulf Coast in the East Region.

CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm also has FSU facing Florida Gulf Coast in the East Region in Orlando, but in the No. 3 vs. 14 match-up in a bracket released Friday. Joe Lunardi, of ESPN gives FSU the same seed, region and location, but pits the Seminoles against No. 14 seed and projected Southern Conference champion, East Tennessee State in his bracket updated on Thursday.

Dave Ommen of NBC Sports also has the Seminoles headed to Orlando as a No. 3 seed, but in the Midwest Region. Ommen’s bracket, which was released Thursday, has FSU paired with projected Ohio Valley Conference champion Belmont. The Bruins are a No. 14 seed.

The lowest any expert has Florida State seed is fourth and that came in the latest projections from SB Nation’s Chris Dobbertean. Dobbertean didn’t list match-ups, but has FSU penciled as the No. 13 overall team or the top No. 4 seed and in the West Region in Orlando. 13-seeds in Dobbertean’s bracket include Nevada, Princeton, Monmouth and Vermont.

FSU’s next two games are on the road. The Seminoles will face Clemson on Saturday and then Duke on Tuesday. Clemson (14-13, 4-11 ACC) was among Lunardi and USA Today’s first four out as well as Dobbertean and Ommen’s next four out. Duke is listed as a current No. 3 seed by everyone except Lunardi, who has the Blue Devils as a No. 4.
