Bracketology: No Change From Last Week for FSU

Florida State may have lost to Georgia Tech badly on Wednesday night, but prognosticators have not dropped the Seminoles in their brackets since last week. FSU had ascended back to a No. 1 seed in the middle of the week in the bracket of CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm, but are now in a similar position to last week.

All the prognosticators or as they’ve come to be known, “bracketologists” have the Seminoles currently sitting as a No. 2 seed and destined for Orlando. There is some varying in which region they would be in and who their opponent would be.

Both ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and Dave Ommen of NBC Sports have FSU destined to play projected Sun Belt Conference champion Georgia Southern, a No. 15 seed, in the Midwest Region.

Palm has the Seminoles in the South Region taking on 15-seed and projected Ohio Valley Conference champion Belmont. Chris Dobbertean of SB Nation has the Seminoles as a No. 2 seed in the East, but did not put together a bracket. As No. 15 seeds, he has listed: Belmont, Bucknell, Georgia Southern and North Dakota State.

FSU will wrap up a 3-game road stretch this week at Syracuse on Saturday and then at Miami on Wednesday. The Orange aren’t listed in any of the brackets. Miami is among the last four in in three of the brackets and one of the first four teams out in Ommen’s bracket.
