FSU Starts Second in Baseball America Preseason Poll

Florida State will begin the 2017 season ranked second in Baseball America’s preseason poll. That’s one spot in front of rival Florida and behind only top-ranked TCU.

The Seminoles finished 41-22 last season before falling to Florida in the decisive game of the Gainesville Super Regional. FSU returns a potent lineup that includes All-American shortstop Taylor Walls, Freshman All-American catcher Cal Raleigh and home run leader Dylan Busby.

The No. 2 national ranking is the highest for FSU so far. The Seminoles were ranked third by D1Baseball.com last week.

FSU opens the season with three games at home against Virginia Commonwealth, beginning on Feb. 17.
