At this rate, Florida State might finish with a higher national ranking on the hardwood than on the gridiron.

After beating a ranked Virginia Tech team over the weekend to improve to 15-1, FSU climbed three spots in the AP Poll to No. 9 on Monday. That gives FSU its highest ranking since ascending to sixth in February 1993. The Seminoles also moved up three spots in the USA Today Coaches Poll to from 13th to 10th.

Maintaining that ranking however, won’t be easy. This week, the Seminoles will host Duke on Tuesday before visiting North Carolina on Saturday.

The Blue Devils were ranked seventh in this week’s AP Poll while UNC sits at No. 11.
