Florida State was rewarded for its 45-14 victory over Syracuse on Saturday in the AP and Amway Coaches Polls, which were released Sunday. The movement however was moderate.

FSU (8-3) jumped two spots in the AP Poll from No. 17 to 15th this week. In the Amway Coaches Poll, the Seminoles climbed one spot from 15th to 14th. Among 3-loss teams, only USC was ranked higher.

Alabama and Ohio State remained first and second in each poll while Clemson moved up a spot to fourth in the AP Poll and two spots to No. 3 in the Amway Coaches Poll. Michigan was third in the AP Poll and fourth in the Coaches Poll. Wisconsin rounded out the top 5 in the AP Poll while Washington held that distinction in the Coaches Poll.

Aside from Clemson, FSU was one of four ACC teams ranked. Louisville fell from third in both polls to 11th after an embarrassing 36-10 loss at Houston on Thursday night. North Carolina was not ranked the AP Poll, but rounded out the Amway Coaches Poll at No. 25.

Florida State will wrap up the regular season on Saturday at home against Florida. The Gators moved up to 13th in each poll after a thrilling 16-10 win at LSU on Saturday. That’s an 8-spot jump for Florida in the AP Poll and a 5-spot climb in the Coaches Poll.
