Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher was among 24 FBS coaches named to the preseason Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award watch list on Friday.

As head coach of the Seminoles, Fisher has led FSU to four straight top-15 finishes, which includes three ACC titles and the 2013 national championship. For his career, Fisher is 68-14 as the head man at FSU.

Fishers and the Seminoles will square off with three other head coaches to make the list. They are North Carolina’s Larry Fedora, Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and Florida’s Jim McElwain.

Despite his many accomplishments at FSU, Fisher has never been recognized as ACC Coach of the Year. The Dodd Award annually goes to the nation’s best coach.

Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz took home the hardware last season after leading the Hawkeyes to a perfect regular season and their first Rose Bowl appearance in nearly a quarter century. Bobby Bowden won the award in 1980 — his fourth season at Florida State.
