FSU 3B Sansone Named a Louisville Slugger All-American

Florida State third baseman John Sansone’s stellar senior season has culminated in an All-American selection. On Thursday, Sansone was named a third-team selection by Louisville Slugger.

For the season, Sansone is hitting .365 with nine home runs and a team-high 62 RBIs. Sansone is also tied with Duke’s Jimmy Herron for the ACC lead with 22 doubles.

Last month, Sansone was named first-team All-ACC. Sansone has been one of the most improved Seminoles this season, raising his batting average by more than 100 points from last season.

Sansone will begin his final NCAA Tournament on Friday as the top-seeded Seminoles play host to Alabama State to open the Tallahassee Regional. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST. The game will air on ESPN3.
