Florida State redshirt sophomore Alec Eberle was among 57 players named to the Rimington Trophy spring watch list on Tuesday.

Eberle appeared in 10 games for the Seminoles a season ago, which includes six starts. Eberle was one of eight ACC centers to make the list.

Eberle is expected to be a key part of an improved offensive line that returns all five starters in 2016. Last season, Eberle shared time at the center position with Ryan Hoefeld and Corey Martinez.

The Rimington Trophy is annually given to the nation’s top center. Bryan Stork became the first Seminole to capture the award as a senior in 2013.

FSU opens the 2016 season in Orlando for a Labor Day showdown with Ole Miss.
