Florida State’s defense had perhaps its best showing of the year on Saturday, defeating the Clemson Tigers by a score of 76-65. The Tigers were held at bay for most of the game, while the Seminoles provided efficient scoring and sealed the game in the last minute. FSU grabbed a much needed win to improve to 14-7 overall and 4-5 in the ACC.

FSU Stud(s)
Malik Beasley and Dwayne Bacon were once again the lead scorers, nabbing 16 and 21 points respectively. They combined for 9 rebounds as well.

FSU Dud(s)
Jarquez Smith made some bad mistakes throughout the game and finished with three fouls and a turnover with only two points.

Valiant Foe(s)
Clemson forward Jaron Blossomgame went 9-for-9 from the free throw line and finished with 22 points total. He added seven rebounds as well.

Key Stats(s)
Florida State held the Tigers to 33 percent from the floor thanks to an absolutely disruptive defensive effort. Clemson had no answer from behind the arc either, as it shot 26 percent in that respect.

When it Was Over
Devon Bookert had a steal and layup with under two minutes to go in the game to put FSU up by 11. It was clear from there that the Tigers were unable to gain momentum for one last push.
