The Daily Nole — April 19, 2018: Jerger Wins Another CCSA Scholar-Athlete of Year Award

Lead Story

For a second year in a row, Florida State beach volleyball’s Macy Jerger has been named the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for her sport.

Jerger, a junior, is a biology major with a 3.87 grade point average. On the sand, she’s posted a 21-6 record this season.

With another prestigious academic honor to her name, Jerger can turn her attention to the CCSA Tournament, which gets underway on Friday. The Seminoles have won that tournament in each of the last two seasons.

Between the Lines

FSU baseball defeated Stetson on Wednesday, 18-10.

On the Agenda

FSU track and field will be in California to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday.
