The ACC unveiled its preseason All-ACC teams on Thursday and three Florida State players made the list, which was comprised by 167 media members.

The lone player on offense was center Alec Eberle. The redshirt junior has started 19 straight games for the Seminoles after taking over that role late as a freshman in 2015. Eberle is coming off of offseason hip surgery and some have suggested that he could be in a position battle with redshirt freshmen Baveon Johnson and Andrew Boselli.

On the defensive side of the ball, FSU had two representatives and both play in the secondary. The first is junior cornerback Tarvarus McFadden who led the nation last year with eight interceptions while adding 20 tackles and three for loss.

Redshirt sophomore safety Derwin James also made the preseason All-ACC team despite playing in only two games a year ago. As a freshman in 2015, James did everything for the Seminoles, ranking first, second or third on the squad in tackles, solo tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, pass break-ups, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries.

Louisville quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson received more votes than any other player. Clemson had the most total selections with five, followed by Miami’s four.
