It’s Thursday, Florida State fans. As your work week winds down, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Most have assumed that Florida State would make the NCAA Baseball Tournament for a 40th straight year, but college baseball experts say that’s no guarantee.

Baseball America’s latest projections have the Seminoles as one of the last four teams in the field. FSU is listed as a No. 3 seed in the Starkville Regional, along with host Mississippi State, Missouri State and Rhode Island.

D1Baseball.com also has FSU as a No. 3 seed, but in the Lexington Regional hosted by No. 6 national seed Kentucky. Second-seeded Indiana and fourth-seeded Kent State would join the Wildcats and Seminoles in the Bluegrass State.

The Bluegrass State is something that FSU will see quite a bit of as the season winds down. The Seminoles close the regular season with three games at Louisville, beginning on Thursday, before playing in the ACC Tournament, which will also be held in Louisville.

Between the Lines

FSU’s men’s golf team finished in third place in the NCAA Regional Championships to advance to the NCAA Championships.

On the Agenda

FSU baseball will visit Louisville in a contest that begins at 6 p.m. EST and airs on ACC Network Extra.
