Florida State will start the 2017 in the top 5 in at least two different polls, but the ACC’s coaches picked the Seminoles to finish No. 1 in the conference.

The conference’s 14 coaches’ votes were unveiled by the ACC on Wednesday and 10 of them picked FSU to reign supreme in the conference. Clemson, Louisville, North Carolina and N.C. State each received one vote to win the ACC.

While FSU was picked by 10 of the 14 coaches to win the ACC, it didn’t receive more than that for the Atlantic division. In the division, Louisville received two first-place votes while N.C. State and Clemson each got one.

In the ACC Coastal, North Carolina received six of the 14 first-place votes. Virginia received four, Miami three and Georgia Tech got one.

With the exception of third baseman John Sansone, the Seminoles return just about everyone from a team that won 41 games and finished a win shy of the College World Series. FSU will open the 2017 regular season with a 3-game home set against Virginia Commonwealth, beginning on Feb. 17.
