Entering Saturday’s contest with Boston College, Florida State knew that it could be as high as the No. 8 seed and as low as the No. 11 in the ACC Tournament in Brooklyn.

The best case scenario came for the Seminoles as they were able to top Boston College, 85-76. FSU’s win, coupled with Notre Dame’s loss at No. 1 Virginia and Louisville’s defeat at N.C. State gives the Seminoles the No. 8 seed.

FSU will kick off the ACC Tournament at noon EST on Wednesday against No. 9 seed Louisville. The contest airs on ESPN. The teams split the two regular season meetings with each team winning on the road.

Louisville rallied from 17 points down on Jan. 10 in Tallahassee to snap the Seminoles’ 28-game home winning streak. FSU got the better of Louisville in the Bluegrass State on Feb. 3, 80-76.

The winner of Wednesday’s contest will advance to Thursday’s ACC Tournament quarterfinal to face top-seeded Virginia. Click here to view the full bracket.
