Florida State will play on one of baseball’s most pristine venues in April to raise awareness for a cause even bigger.

The middle game of a 3-game set against Boston College will move from Chestnut Hill to Fenway Park on April 21. First pitch is scheduled at 3 p.m. EST and the contest will be the Eagles’ annual ALS Awareness Game.

According to a release, the annual contest for BC is in honor of former team captain Pete Frates, who was diagnosed with ALS in March 2012. Proceeds from the contest will go to the Pete Frates Home Health Initiative, which helps provide in-home care to those suffering from ALS.

This is the second year that the event will be held at Fenway Park. Army and Nay will square off the night prior to raise funds for the Home Base Program, which helps veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
