Florida State won’t be playing three straight night games to open the 2017 season.

According to a release from FSU, Saturday’s home opener against Louisiana-Monroe has been moved from 7 p.m. EST to noon EST. The earlier time was first reported by Nole Gameday on Tuesday night.

The change is made in response to Hurricane Irma headed toward Florida. Despite the time change, the contest is still expected to air on the ACC Network. Check local listings for the television station in your area.

Saturday’s contest with Louisiana-Monroe will be just the second meeting between the schools. FSU blanked the Warhawks 34-0 in Tallahassee to open the 2011 season.

The Seminoles are coming off a 24-7 loss to Alabama while Louisiana-Monroe fell to Memphis, 37-29. James Blackman is expected to become the first true freshman to start at quarterback for FSU since Chip Ferguson in 1985. The Seminoles have not started 0-2 since 1989.
