FSU Rises Just One Spot in Polls

Florida State responded from back-to-back losses with consecutive wins and as a result, moved up in the polls.

After sitting at 15th last week, the Seminoles moved up to No. 14 in this week’s AP Poll. FSU also climbed a single spot in this week’s USA Today Coaches Poll from 16th to 15th. This past week, FSU had blowout victories at Miami on Wednesday and at home against Clemson on Sunday.

Sunday’s 109-61 victory over Clemson was the largest ever for Florida State in ACC play. With the win, FSU equaled its overall and ACC win total from last season.

Florida State now sits at 20-4 for the season and 8-3 in conference play. The Seminoles will return to action on Wednesday night against N.C. State before traveling to face Notre Dame on Saturday. The Fighting Irish recently fell out of the AP top 25.
