With the ACC regular season title on the line on Thursday night, Florida State soccer settled for a 1-1 draw with No. 1 Virginia.

After a scoreless first half, Diana Ordonez’s 14th goal of the season gave the Cavaliers a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute. It took less than five minutes for Yujie Zhao to draw FSU even.

Both teams have chances in the overtime periods. In the 109th minute, FSU’s Clara Robbins had her potential game-winner hit the post.

Cristina Roque finished with four saves for FSU. The Cavaliers held a 12-10 advantage in shots on Senior Night in Tallahassee.

With the draw, FSU finishes the regular season with a record of 14-1-2. The Seminoles will be the No. 2 seed in the ACC Tournament and open next week against either Duke or Wake Forest.

FSU’s soccer match was the lone scheduled athletic event for Thursday.

On the Agenda

FSU cross country will take part in the ACC Championships on Friday. FSU women’s golf will be in Wilmington, N.C. to begin the Landfall Tradition. Florida State volleyball will host Boston College. The match begins at 6:30 p.m. ET and streams on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

FSU basketball beat Mississippi College in an exhibition on Thursday night, 94-51.

FSU’s tennis teams will be participating in events on Friday. The men will be at the South Carolina Scramble. The women will take part in the Alabama Roberta Allison Invite.
