Lead Story

The top seed in the ACC Tournament will be on the line in Tallahassee on Thursday night as No. 3 Florida State hosts top-ranked Virginia on Senior Night.

After 14 straight wins to start the year, FSU has gone winless in its last two matches. The contest will feature the top two goal scorers in the ACC in Virginia’s Diana Ordonez (13) and FSU’s Beata Olsson (11). Both schools also rank in the top 10 nationally in scoring offense.

The Cavaliers assumed the top spot this week in the United Coaches Poll, replacing FSU. Virginia is 15-1-1 and 8-0-1 in ACC play. FSU is 14-1-1 and 7-1-1 in conference. Thursday’s contest in Tallahassee begins at 7 p.m. ET and airs on ACC Network.

FSU’s soccer match with Virginia is the lone scheduled FSU athletic event for Thursday.
