As you start a new week, check out our daily rundown.

Lead Story

After 14 straight victories to open the season, No. 1 Florida State soccer has now gone two matches without one. After tying North Carolina, FSU suffered its first loss of the year on Sunday at Duke, 1-0.

FSU held the edge in total shots, but it was Duke that broke through. Tess Boade’s goal in the 27th minute would be all that the Blue Devils needed to become the first team to beat the Seminoles this season.

FSU’s Mia Justus finished with three saves in the loss while Ruthie Jones had four saves for Duke. With the loss, FSU fell to 14-1-1. The Seminoles wrap up the regular season at home against Virginia on Thursday.

Between the Lines

FSU volleyball was also in North Carolina on Sunday. The Seminoles topped Wake Forest, 3-0.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.

News and Notes

The ACC will announce game times and networks for the Nov. 6 slate of football games on Monday.

FSU football is listed as a 10-point underdog for Saturday’s game at Clemson.
