The Daily Nole — Sept. 17, 2021: FSU Hoops’ ACC Schedule Unveiled

It’s Friday, Florida State fans.

As you start thinking about the weekend, check out our daily rundown.

Lead Story

On Thursday night, the ACC released the 2021-22 conference schedule. Florida State will look to tie the conference record for consecutive ACC home wins as it opens league play on Dec. 4 at home against Syracuse.

After the contest with the Orange, it will be 25 days later before FSU plays another conference game. It begins a 3-game road trip with Boston College, NC State and Wake Forest.

Other notable dates include a home date with Duke on Jan. 17 and a trip to Durham on Feb. 19. The Seminoles travel to face North Carolina on Feb. 12 and Virginia on Feb. 26. After facing Notre Dame at home on March 2, FSU celebrates Senior Day against NC State on March 5.

FSU opens its 2021-22 season on Nov. 10 at home against Pennsylvania.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Thursday.

On the Agenda

FSU cross country hosts the FSU XC Open on Friday. Florida State men’s golf begins its season in Champaign for the Fighting Illini Invitational.

News and Notes

Wake Forest is listed as a 4.5-point favorite for Saturday’s football contest with FSU.
