After a win to open the season, Florida State cross country’s Adriaan Wildschutt is getting recognition beyond his conference or region.

This week, Wildschutt was named the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Men’s Athlete of the Week. Wildschutt won the Covered Bridge Open in Boone, N.C. by nearly 20 seconds on Sept. 3 as the Seminoles captured both the men and women’s team titles.

A former standout at Coastal Carolina, Wildschutt is in his second season with the Seminoles. Wildschutt finished second last season at the NCAA Championships.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

FSU volleyball will host rival Florida on Wednesday night. The contest begins at 6 p.m. ET and streams on ACC Network Extra.
