It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans.

As you recover from a long weekend, check out our daily rundown.

Lead Story

Despite playing one of the tougher opponents among ACC teams in Week 1, a few Florida State players are among the conference’s statistical leaders.

Running back Jashaun Corbin, who went for a career-high 144 yards rushing in a 41-38 loss to No. 9 Notre Dame on Sunday night, ranks fourth in the conference in that area. His 9.6 yards per carry average ranks behind only NC State’s Zonovan Knight in the conference.

Defensively, newcomer Jermaine Johnson’s 2.5 tackles for loss was good for second in the ACC. Only Virginia Tech’s Amaré Barno had more. Johnson’s 1.5 sacks were also good for third in the conference this week.

Corbin, Johnson and the rest of the Seminoles will look to build on their Week 1 performances and get a first win this coming Saturday. FSU will play host to Jacksonville State.
