The Daily Nole — Aug. 28, 2021: FSU Volleyball Sweeps Northern Arizona to Open Season

Florida State volleyball began its 2021 season with an easy victory on Friday, sweeping Northern Arizona in the Tiger Classic in Baton Rouge, 3-0.

After winning the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-14, FSU completed the sweep with a 25-20 win in the third set. Khori Louis led FSU with 11 kills in the victory while Emery Dupes tallied a match-high 20 digs. Taylor Jacobsen finished with 11 kills and 11 digs to lead Northern Arizona.

With the win, FSU begins 1-0 for the first time since 2018. The Seminoles will continue the Tiger Classic on Saturday vs. Michigan at 11 a.m. ET.

FSU’s volleyball victory was the lone scheduled athletic event for Friday.
