Two games, two victories, no goals allowed. That’s been the case for Florida State soccer so far.

The No. 1 Seminoles improved to 2-0 on Sunday with a 4-0 home victory over Alabama. FSU finished with 17 shots to just three for the Crimson Tide in the victory.

After an own goal got the scoring started, Maria Miguel Pereira Alagoa, Beata Olsson and Gianna Mitchell all found the net for the Seminoles. Lauren Flynn, Clara Robbins, Ran Iwai and Jody Brown all recorded assists.

With the victory, FSU improves to 2-0 and has now won 12 straight regular season matches. It will take on South Alabama on Thursday.

Between the Lines

FSU’s soccer victory was the lone scheduled athletic event for Sunday.

On the Agenda

There are no scheduled FSU athletic events for Monday.

Former FSU quarterback Jameis Winston will start Monday night’s NFL preseason contest for the New Orleans Saints against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
