Lead Story

McKenzie Milton has not yet been named Florida State’s starting quarterback, but the preseason recognitions continue to pile up.

On Friday, Milton was named to the watch list for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. The annual award goes to the nation’s top quarterback, who is an upperclassman.

Milton was previously named to Maxwell, Davey O’Brien and College Football Performance Awards National Performer of the Year Award watch lists. A UCF transfer, Milton has not taken a snap since late in the 2018 season. For his career, he has accounted for nearly 10,000 total yards and 92 touchdowns.

Introduced in 1987, three FSU signal callers have previously won the award: Casey Weldon (1991), Charlie Ward (1993) and Chris Weinke (2000).
