No program had more players selected during the 2021 NBA Draft than Florida State.

The Seminoles tied a program record with three players selected on Thursday night. The first off the board tied another record.

Scottie Barnes tied Dave Cowens and Patrick Williams as the highest FSU player ever selected when he was taken fourth overall by the Toronto Raptors. Cowens was taken by the Boston Celtics in 1970 and Williams by the Chicago Bulls last year.

The ACC Freshman of the Year, Barnes averaged 10.3 points, four rebounds and better than four assists in his only season at FSU. Barnes led FSU in assists and steals last season while shooting better than 50% from the field.

Center Balsa Koprivica and forward RaiQuan Gray went two picks apart in the second round at No. 57 and No. 59, respectively. Koprivica was selected by the Charlotte Hornets, but the pick had been traded to the Detroit Pistons. Gray was selected by the Brooklyn Nets.

A 7-footer from Serbia, Koprivica shot 60% from the field while averaging 9.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game last season. As a redshirt sophomore, Gray shot 52% while averaging just shy of 12 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest last season.

Last season’s leading scorer, M.J. Walker, was not drafted, but will likely sign with an NBA team as a free agent. FSU also had three players selected in 1981. This is the first time it had three selections since the draft went to just two rounds. Texas was the only other school with three selections.
