Lead Story

It was a big day for recruiting for Florida State football on Sunday and it culminated in a pair of commitments.

Offensive lineman Daughtry Richardson and defensive tackle Daniel Lyons each pledged their services to the Seminoles. Both are South Florida prospects and among the top 500 prospects nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Richardson, who hails from Miami, is listed at 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds. Richardson is the No. 452 overall prospect in the country and chose FSU over the likes of Kentucky, Florida, Miami and Oregon.

Lyons, a 6-4, 270-pound prospect from Homestead is listed as the No. 453 overall player for 2022. He held offers from Florida, Georgia, Miami, LSU, Michigan and more.

With the two additions, FSU now owns the No. 8 overall class for 2022 and the top class in the ACC. It has 17 total commitments.
