The Daily Nole — July 24, 2021: FSU’s McDonald Named to Mackey Award Watch List

Florida State tight end Camren McDonald joined quarterback McKenzie Milton among Seminoles to be named to multiple watch lists on Friday.

McDonald was named to the John Mackey Award watch list. The honor annually goes to the nation’s top tight end.

Previously named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, McDonald played in all nine games for the Seminoles last season. He tallied 23 catches for 263 yards and two touchdowns.

Only Ontaria Wilson caught more passes for FSU last season and the two touchdown grabs was tied for a team-high. The only FSU player ever to win the Mackey Award was Nick O’Leary in 2014.
