The Daily Nole — July 5-7: FSU Softball Adds Transfer Mack Leonard

It’s been a slow couple of days, so we took some time off.

After coming up one win shy of a national championship, Florida State has added some power to his arsenal.

On Tuesday, the program announced the addition of Illinois State transfer Mack Leonard. As a junior last season, Leonard was named to the Missouri Valley Conference’s first team.

A pitcher and first baseman, Leonard led the Redbirds last season with a .425 batting average, 10 home runs and 38 RBIs. Her .425 average was the third-best ever in a single season at Illinois State. From the circle, she was 11-4 with a 3.33 ERA.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday or Tuesday.

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.
