After another solid year across the athletic spectrum, Florida State finished 16th in the Learfield Directors’ Cup standings.

This past athletic year, FSU finished as national runner-up in softball and women’s soccer. FSU was also quarterfinalists in men’s golf, women’s tennis and beach volleyball. The Seminoles claimed conference titles in beach volleyball, men’s indoor and outdoor track and field and soccer.

Among ACC schools, only North Carolina (fourth), Virginia (11th) and Notre Dame (14th) had a better overall year than Florida State. After 25 straight Directors’ Cup titles for Stanford, Texas claimed the overall title for the 2020-21 athletic year.

3-star tight end Jerrale Powers has committed to Florida State football.

FSU softball outfielder Dani Morgan was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team.
