The Daily Nole — June 23, 2021: FSU Hoops to Meet South Carolina in Rock Hill

Florida State basketball is still months away from tipping off the 2021-22 season, but another one of its non-conference opponents is now known.

The Seminoles will take on South Carolina in Rock Hill, S.C. in December. An official announcement, date and time is expected to come at another date.

FSU is 16-14 all-time against the Gamecocks although South Carolina did win the last meeting in the 2006 NIT. The Seminoles finished 18-7 last season and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. The Gamecocks finished just 6-15.

FSU women’s tennis’ Nandini Das, Andrea Garcia, Giulia Pairone and Emmanuelle Salas were each named to the All-ACC Academic team.

FSU will celebrate 75 years of sports during the 2021-22 athletic season.
