The Daily Nole — May 26, 2021: FSU Women’s Golf Notches Best Finish Ever

Florida State women’s golf’s season came to an end one stroke short of match play on Monday evening, but the Seminoles enjoyed their best campaign ever.

FSU finished ninth at the NCAA Championships. At +22 for the four rounds, FSU finished a stroke behind Arizona and Arizona State who each advanced to match play.

The ninth-place finish is the best ever for FSU at the NCAA Championships. Beatrice Wallin had the best showing for the Seminoles, also finishing tied for ninth at even par.

FSU finishes with three victories, including its first ever NCAA Regional win earlier this month in Louisville.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

FSU baseball will begin the ACC Tournament on Wednesday against Duke. The contest begins at 11 a.m. ET and airs on Regional Sports Networks. FSU track and field also begins the NCAA East Preliminaries.

News and Notes

Pitcher Bryce Hubbart will start for FSU on Wednesday vs. Duke.

FSU pitcher Jack Anderson is not expected to miss any time, head coach Mike Martin Jr. said in a Zoom call on Tuesday.
