As we take one step closer to the weekend, check out our daily rundown.

Lead Story

Entering Monday’s Tallahassee Regional, Florida State men’s golf had never won an NCAA regional. The Seminoles not only changed that, but they blew away the competition.

FSU wrapped up the Tallahassee Regional on Wednesday with an impressive 17-stroke victory over second-place Georgia. For the regional, FSU shot -34 as a team.

Georgia’s Davis Thompson was the individual winner, but FSU had three players finish in the top five and all five finish in the top 20. Vincent Norrman finished third at -9 while John Pak was fourth at -8. Tied for fifth place was Brett Roberts at -7.

With the victory, FSU has secured itself a spot in the NCAA Championships. They begin on May 28 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Between the Lines

In addition to golf, FSU women’s tennis watched its season come to an end in the Elite Eight on Wednesday. The No. 7 Seminoles fell to No. 2 Texas, 4-0.

On the Agenda

FSU baseball will be at NC State on Thursday night. The contest begins at 6:30 p.m. ET and streams on ACC Network Extra.
