Lead Story

Despite a 3-6 finish last season, Florida State football will begin its 2021 season in prime time.

The Sept. 5 opener against Notre Dame at Doak Campbell Stadium will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and air on ABC, the ACC announced on Tuesday. Last season, the Seminoles played just one home game in prime time.

Notre Dame is coming off a 10-2 season and its second appearance in the College Football Playoff in three years. The Fighting Irish beat the Seminoles last season in South Bend, 42-26. The teams have not met in Tallahassee since 2014.

Between the Lines

FSU men’s golf closed the second round of the Tallahassee Regional on Tuesday with an 8-stroke lead over second-place Liberty.

On the Agenda

FSU men’s golf will wrap up the Tallahassee Regional on Wednesday. FSU women’s tennis will take on Texas in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

FSU women’s golf coach Amy Bond was named to the Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year watch list.
