It took 21 holes to decide the ACC men’s golf championship, but in the end, Florida State came up just short.

With match play tied 2-2, Clemson prevailed on the third playoff hole as Zack Gordon edged FSU’s Greyson Porter. The Seminoles were in good shape for most of the day and actually took the first two match-ups as Brett Roberts and Frederik Kjettrup emerged.

With their backs against the wall, the Tigers won the final three duals. FSU’s John Pak and Vincent Norman had leads midway through their match-ups, but couldn’t seal the deal.

FSU will now prepare for the NCAA Tournament. The Seminoles will host a regional, beginning on May 17.
