The Daily Nole — April 21, 2021: FSU Football Adds 2024 Games with Memphis, Charleston Southern

Lead Story

The start of the 2024 season is more than three years away, but Florida State football has already finalized its non-conference schedule.

On Tuesday, FSU announced home tilts with Memphis and Charleston Southern for 2024. The Seminoles had previously scheduled non-conference match-ups with Notre Dame and rival Florida.

Memphis is where head coach Mike Norvell coached prior to becoming the head man in Tallahassee late in 2019. The Sept. 14, 2024 contest be the first meeting between the schools since a 35-3 victory for the Seminoles in Orlando in 1990. FSU is 8-0-1 in its last nine meetings with the Tigers dating back to 1977.

On Nov. 23, 2024, Charleston Southern will be making its third trip to Doak Campbell Stadium since 2011. The Seminoles defeated the Buccaneers 62-10 in 2011 and 52-8 in 2016.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

FSU men’s tennis will take on Boston College in the ACC Tournament on Wednesday.
