The Daily Nole — Feb. 4, 2021: FSU Adds 4-Star WR Hill, Moves Into Team Top 25

National Signing Day isn’t the spectacle it used to be, but it was a solid day nonetheless for Florida State.

The Seminoles added 4-star wide receiver Destyn Hill, who ultimately signed. Hill, a native of New Orleans, is the No. 113 overall prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is now the highest ranked member of the FSU class.

Listed at 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds, Hill becomes the third wide receiver to sign, joining Malik McClain and Joshua Burrell. He’s the 17th commitment for FSU.

With the addition, FSU moves up from 30th to No. 22 in the Composite team rankings. FSU owns the fourth-best class in the ACC.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s tennis will host Florida on Thursday. FSU women’s hoops will visit North Carolina. That contest begins at 6 p.m. ET and streams on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

FSU track and field’s Don’drea Swint and Jayla Kirkland have both been named ACC Track Performers of the Week. For the second time this year, Isaac Grimes and Ruta Lasmane both earn ACC Men’s Field Performer and Women’s Co-Field Performer of the Week honors.

Florida State football will begin spring practice on March 9.
