The Daily Nole — Feb. 1, 2021: FSU Adds 4-Star QB for 2022

Don’t look now, but Florida State is putting in work on the 2022 recruiting trail.

On Sunday, head coach Mike Norvell and company landed Arizona quarterback Nicco Marchiol. A native of Chandler, Marchiol is a 4-star prospect listed at 6-foot-2 and 216 pounds.

Marchiol is currently ranked nationally as the No. 220 overall prospect and ninth-best pro-style quarterback, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the No. 2 prospect from Arizona.

With the addition, FSU moves up three spots to No. 6, per the Composite. The Seminoles currently own the top class in the ACC for 2022.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events that took place on Sunday. FSU men’s tennis’ match with Florida was postponed.

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.
