The Daily Nole — Jan. 6, 2021: Forrest Makes NBA Debut for Jazz

Lead Story

On Tuesday night, guard Trent Forrest became the third rookie from Florida State to make his NBA debut this season.

In a 130-96 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, Forrest played eight minutes for the Utah Jazz. Forrest did not attempt a field goal, but was 2-for-2 from the foul line while adding an assist and a steal.

Forrest joins Devin Vassell and Patrick Williams as FSU rookies to appear in NBA games this season. Vassell scored a career-high 12 points for the San Antonio Spurs in Tuesday’s 116-113 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Williams is averaging better than 10 points per game for the Chicago Bulls and scored 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting in Tuesday’s 111-108 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
